Genre

The music genre I have chose to base my magazine around, is Urban Hip Hip Or R&B as some people would resemble it as, here are some artists , that are currently in the UK top charts:

1) Tinchy Stryder,
2) Chipmunk,
3) Ironik,
4) N-Dubz...

These artists are currently seen as the best british artists around during this period of time.. this music consists of a more local version of rap and hip-hop re enlisted through the artists own expressions, in this day and age R&B is becoming more grime and independant, souly because its reaching to places all over the world, we in the UK are begninning to resemble R&B to a new type of genre ... Grime.

What is Grime Music?

UK Grime is a genre of music which has been developing in London's underground since 2002. Grime's tempo is around 140 beats per minute. Style of flow also varies but its most common for rappers or MCs to "spit" double time or aggressively over the beat.


Grime can often be dark and aggressive, featuring MCs as opposed to singers and getting rid of the R&B influences of earlier the UK Garage music.
